T-shirt idea

So I was doodling in procreate on my iPad as I normally do, and came up with an idea for a piece I can upload on my Instagram

But I  a friend of mine recently say that I should start putting my work on t-shirts.

So I did a bit of photoshop work to see what it might actually look like, and I think they turned out well, and the design looks nice as a t-shirt. From now on I think I’m going to try and keep this on mind and maybe design some work specifically for a t-shirt design.

These are some alternate versions, where I tried to add some colour and give it a trippy vibe. I feel these ruined the mood and atmosphere of the black and white version, so I stuck with the black and white.

Amsterdam Trip

So while we had our week of uni because of half term I was lucky enough to go visit Amsterdam for 4 days. I was there with my friend of mine, and we did various museums, like van gogh, Moco (Banksy and other famous street artists) and Stedelijk. aswell as explored the area, and generally get immersed in the amazing atmosphere Amsterdam.

Here are some photos I got awhile I was there:

Here are some pieces of artwork from the Moco museums that i found inspiring:

Instagram Post

So for my latest Instagram post I knew I wanted to try some a bit different, I’m currently limiting my self to a colour scheme of Cyan, Magenta and white. I hope limiting my self to thing will help with being more creative, and help the piece be stronger as I’m not replying on colours.

My inspiration for this post came from a couple images that I saw on Pinterest:

The first image of the flowers is from my new board I made called “Textile patterns” which is a subject I’ve been quite interested in recently. The second image really inspired me in the way they got photography and a messy brush stroke to work together effectively.

Now when it comes to pattern making i know how to make one in illustrator, but they tend to be very formal, aligned, nothing off place. I knew I wanted it to be a bit random looking, less formal. So I decided to look up how to make patterns in Photoshop, and came across a video tutorial:

I found this really useful, i think ill be using this process rather that the one on illustrator. Here are some alternate version of the final outcome that I didn’t use.
