Instagram Post

So for my latest Instagram post I knew I wanted to try some a bit different, I’m currently limiting my self to a colour scheme of Cyan, Magenta and white. I hope limiting my self to thing will help with being more creative, and help the piece be stronger as I’m not replying on colours.

My inspiration for this post came from a couple images that I saw on Pinterest:

The first image of the flowers is from my new board I made called “Textile patterns” which is a subject I’ve been quite interested in recently. The second image really inspired me in the way they got photography and a messy brush stroke to work together effectively.

Now when it comes to pattern making i know how to make one in illustrator, but they tend to be very formal, aligned, nothing off place. I knew I wanted it to be a bit random looking, less formal. So I decided to look up how to make patterns in Photoshop, and came across a video tutorial:

I found this really useful, i think ill be using this process rather that the one on illustrator. Here are some alternate version of the final outcome that I didn’t use.
